About our studio...

One-Of-A-Kind

We guarantee that all of our designs are original, hand-drawn pieces. Both of us believe in supporting artists and developing as artists ourselves, so we'll never steal, trace, or artificially generate designs. Any reference brought to us will serve as inspiration to our own take on the subject matter. We have unique styles and our clients deserve unique tattoos.

Self-Expression

We see our studio as a reflection of who we are — a relaxing, eclectically decorated space where respect and kindness come first. We just want to create art and help others express themselves with individualized, affordable tattoos.

Distance Discount

We developed many connections throughout Nova Scotia at the start of our careers. FAQ

What is your age requirement?

We're an 18+ studio. However, we welcome consultations for younger, and we're happy to book coverups or reworks for 16+ with the written consent of a legal guardian. Tattoos are a permanent body modification that can present serious health risks and requires informed consent. Minors can experience hormonal pain intolerance, unpredictable body growth or skin texture, increased regret rates, and a failure to provide informed consent. We don't encourage getting a tattoo as a minor, but we're always happy to have a conversation or provide relief from an unwanted tattoo or scar.

Do you charge for ___?

We only charge per hour or piece, and a $10 retainer to book an appointment. Our drawing time, stencils, color ink, breaks, cancellations, etc. are covered by our rates or the retainer. No hidden costs, no surprises. Quotes and consultations are free!

Can I get a tattoo while pregnant?

No. Your immune system is compromised during pregnancy and the risk of infection and/or exposure to heavy metals could result in lifelong health complications for the child, or death.
We cannot control a manufacturing defect or an accidental scratch from a pet paw. Don't risk your or your child's health for a tattoo. Please wait 3-4 months after birth in order for your immune system to return to normal, and (if applicable) after breastfeeding stops.

Do I have to be sober?

Yes, and we will know if you aren't or recently weren't. Alcohol is a blood thinner and can cause excessive bleeding during a tattoo for 24 hours after consumption. Which can prevent ink entering the skin, increased inflammation, and result in impaired healing. Marijuana and other intoxicants are the same. Please communicate with your artist beforehand or we may be forced to refuse service.

Do you tattoo ___ complexion?

Yes! We've both tattooed many people of various shades, and we welcome everyone. All skin requires a comprehensive understanding of color theory, skin undertones, hyperpigmentation, and keloids. Every individual must be considered entirely for a well-tailored design — from anatomy, skin texture and color, health, history, and self-expression. We create for you, not for one skin type.

Do you tattoo ___ style?

While we love to explore and mix styles, we understand there are countless unique styles that another artist may specialize in and tattoo better than us. We're happy to try our hand at most requests and it never hurts to ask, just keep in mind that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses — that's why it's important to find an artist you're compatible with. You can find our styles listed above or send us a message!

Why isn't there a phone number to call?

We can't interrupt the time our clients are paying for in order to take a call. You can connect with us any time through Facebook, Instagram, Square, or email!

Do you allow numbing?

Yes, absolutely. We understand everyone's tolerance is different and can fluctuate based on hormonal changes or health conditions. Please discuss use with your artist beforehand, as most products can alter skin texture, healing, or cause serious symptoms that must be supervised.

Will you tattoo my ___?

Yes, anywhere on the body! Just remember that visible tattoos (i.e. face, hands, neck, etc.) increase your risk of being discriminated against in settings such as a workplace. That certain areas (hands, feet, knees, etc.) are subject to high friction, rapid skin regeneration, and can be thinner skin, which may fade a tattoo within months. And that a small tattoo on your arm could take minutes, whereas the same design behind the ear may take twice as long to navigate stray hairs, stretching a complex area, and positioning the client. Tricky areas can be more painful as well — causing involuntary movements that slow the artist, and due to these considerations the total cost may be impacted.

Do you charge for touch ups?

For one year, you're welcome to book or walk-in for a completely free touch up! Just please wait a minimum of 4 weeks to allow your body to heal. If it's been longer than a year, or you already had the free touch up, please still reach out and we can discuss options. We want our work and your skin to look the best that it can be!

Will you tattoo me with a loved one's ashes?

Sorry, no. It's unsafe to contaminate a wound with a foreign substance — even if it's professionally sterilized and mixed by a dedicated company.

Please don't hesitate to reach out! We love questions, feedback, and bookings — just keep in mind that we're tattooing, drawing, and managing social media, so responses to emails or messages may take time.
